Wallis Designs Heads to Los Angeles for some Celebrity Excitement

What an exciting start to the new year!

Wallis Designs is participating in an exclusive celebrity Gift Lounge event, hosted by GBK Productions in Los Angeles, California, leading up to the Golden Globe Awards telecast. This event is a pre-show gifting suite event honouring the Golden Globe nominees and presenters taking place this Friday and Saturday before the telecast on Sunday, January 8, 2017.

This fall I was busy making over 100 necklaces to be included in the celebrity gift bags.

After many scribbles in my design book and different combinations of components I decided to use gorgeous green chrysoprase and labradorite gemstones.

Chrysoprase and Labradorite Gemstone Necklace by Wallis Designs

I am really proud of my necklace design. I've been wearing the tester of this necklace almost exclusively since I made it back in October. I love the colour of the green gemstone and the simplicity of the necklace allows it to be worn everyday.

You can see my Wallis Design bag third from the left on the front pedestal amongst all these amazing artisan made gifts.  The Artisan Group bag is valued at over $1150 (US).

To add to the excitement, I will also have two necklaces in The Artisan Group display.  I'm so honoured and thankful that I was chosen to be included.

A beautiful, grey chalcedony pendulum necklace and this amazing green chrysoprase bib necklace are both on display.  I can't wait to find out who might hold one of my necklaces and feel the cool gemstones in their hand and see up close the careful design and details. Or maybe even someone will want to try it on.  I'm on pins and needles over here.  I can't wait to share with you the adventures of my little designs in the coming weeks.

I've been working really hard over the last year on all different aspects of my business.  I've been taking chances and trying new things.  I still have a lot of work ahead and things to learn and more chances to be taken and I'm really excited about 2017.

Thanks for all your support over these years!
