With my new website comes the launch of my brand new blog. I love the fact that all my connections can all be found in one spot now. Here you can keep updated on my blog, twitter posts, and see my latest Instagram photos. You can connect with me on facebook and pinterest and sign up for my monthly newsletter. You can even shop for some beautiful, handmade jewelry! It’s so convenient.
With a new blog some of you might not know me so I think it’s a good place to introduce myself so, Hi! I’m Nancy.
I live in Whitby just outside of Toronto. I’m the proud mom of two awesome girls (our oldest is already in University and the other is University bound next year). I’m married to my high school sweetheart and that really is pretty sweet. We have an almost 6 month old puppy who keeps us busy, smiling and going on walks even on the coldest days of this winter. (I’m sure you will be seeing a picture or two of her in the future!)
I could be described as quiet and reserved in some situations. I am definitely shy in big groups at first but can surprise you with a dry sense of humour. I’m independent, thoughtful, and a thinker which sometimes makes me a procrastinator. I’m eternally optimistic, calm in stressful situations and a solid friend.
I like to listen to music while I work, I can be a sucker for new skin and beauty products and I like Sudoku puzzles. I have a hard time saying no to anything with caramel in it and I try to balance that with blending up a green smoothie most mornings since the new year. I love to travel and we always have our next potential place to visit on our minds. I love to cook, when I have the time to do so, and I enjoy painting and decorating our house (in fact, I am a Certified Interior Decorator).
I’ve been designing and selling my jewelry on line for over 7 years now. I’m self taught but have some metal work classes on my wish list for this year. I have a definite obsession with beads and shiny things and one of my projects this year will be to organize my studio. I do favour my kitchen table with the sun streaming in the windows and close contact to my coffee maker. Also, right now with the puppy I need to stay on the main level until she’s more trustworthy (I could be in the kitchen for a while!).
So that’s a little bit about me. Here I hope to continue to share bits and pieces of my life, my jewelry designs, photos, recipes, ideas and thoughts. I really hope you get to know me and I can get to know you. I love to read your comments too so please feel free to leave them. Grab a coffee and stay awhile I look forward to sharing a little time with you.
