I've used gorgeous, classic cream (off white) coloured Swarovski pearls (10mm). These are really the creme de la creme of faux pearls. Swarovski Pearls are made over a glass core which gives them a nice weight (just slightly heavier than real pearls). Exceptional quality pearl like finish.
I've used modern kidney style ear wires in gunmetal brass.
The dangle from your piercing down is 2" (50mm)
